Game crash into patching

Ok I was queing up for a game of aram ... everything was fine - timer stopped and bugsplat... I end up rebooting computer and find that apparently league needs an update... again... I've already upated today... something tells me that this has something to do with updates not saving to disk when in use ... please fix this bug it's terrible
