[Game Client] In-game UI elements not correctly sized on high resolution display

I recently upgraded to a 4k monitor, and obviously the first thing I did was try to play League on it. In general the game holds up really well. The characters and environment are all sized correctly. However, a lot of the in-game UI elements (health bars, icons on the map, store and main menus, etc.) are incorrectly sized. It's most likely that they're using pixels and as such do not scale properly when displayed on a high resolution/DPI monitor.

I've attached a few screenshots for reference. It won't let me upload them at the full resolution, so I've downscaled them to 1920x1080. The small HUD elements should still be clearly visible.

I'm also having issues with this. Is the only solution so far to play on low resolution?

As far as I can tell, yes. You can try fiddling with Windows DPI scaling, but then you'll run into issues with how Windows reports pixels to the app. I had my League client stretched across both my monitors when trying to play at 4k resolution in non-fullscreen mode with 150% DPI, and the app would crash immediately if it was in fullscreen and set to 4k resolution. Not sure if OS X has the same issues or not.
