Jayce's E+Q Cannon Combo

I don't really have a link or a screenie for this , but I've been seeing alot of Jayce's Q's not being boosted by Acceleration Gae (E) in Cannon Stance. I tried it out for myself too, and sometimes the Q does go off in it's accelerated state exiting E, but sometimes it Never does the whole game.
