So here's the deal, Vi q has had this bug for quite a while. If you die mid channel you can't use the ability post revive. The only way to fix it is by reconnecting, which is completely unacceptable. I just got reported for ragequitting because I went to go fix the bug and my team lost in the minute and a half i was gone. Riot, this bug has been a thing for almost two years, it has to be fixed.

My bet is that they don't know how to fix it, this bug has been reported countless times, if they were able to fix it they would have done it.

Luckily it was only a bot game, I haven't had it since. But since I play Vi Jungle whenever I have to Jungle, how exactly do you quit and reconnect? Just in case.
Woodsy25751 votesYou have to quit the game session and rejoin. Presumably reloading your interface with the champion fixes the issue. The actual quitting part is done through the options menu
A Zubat2 votesThis bug can happen with any champion with a cast time on an ability I believe. Rebinding the broken ability to a new key has worked for me.
Dyonas2 votesYou can get it working again by doing self-cast and the ability so ALT+Q for Vi. It's a workaround but since it's been reported numerous times and not fixed it's the best we have.

IcyPepper1 votesPoint and click abilities aren't immune to counterplay. Vi's ult, yes, can be used to chase down a squishy for massive damage (but over 50% of champions can deal massive damage anyway), but that's because lower skill players are wasting it's potential. It disrupts teamfights and positioning, it's not just a point and click skill to kill an enemy.
Though I wouldn't mind it being changed similar to Sion's ult where you have to aim it. But meh, she's the dunkmaster. At least her ult isn't a point and click TRUE damage ability
