Unable to lock in hero, resulting in a leave

During the countdown for locking in a champion, after repeatedly clicking the 'lock in' button without response, I was kicked. This is frustrating because I clicked multiple times and clearly the interface failed to register it.

My client version is: League of Legends 7.5.17_03_02_13_19 (windows)
