Not sure if bug or

So, this happens a lot in my games. At first I thought it was just Final Boss Veigar but I seen it happening on Cho'Gath & other Champions. Is this a bug?

Edit: I thought it was clear what it was but I guess not. When I cast Q I kinda slid across the ground instead of going into a walk animation like I should.
