Talon Q inconsistent auto-reset [gameplay]

Talon's Q will sometimes reset for a rapid aa-q-aa combo when in close range. However, there are also times in which you aa-q and the aa doesn't reset. I don't know if there's a pattern to it, but i was able to replicate it by simply trying it out a few times.
