match history not recorded? riot why?

Did riot just do their thing where, "server's screwed, so let's screw everyone's game" and tell people that they're putting on loss prevention, yet just entirely remove the match? What about the winning team? So screw people who wasted 45minutes trying to win the game? I would've been fine giving a loss prevention to the losing team, but why remove the entire match to oblivion?
