the client keeps disconnecting from my internet

my internet will still be connected, but suddenly the only option i have on my screen when i switch over to league is "exit instead", or if im in a game, "reconnecting..."

could this possibly be happening to anyone else, or are there issues with servers? im just curious as to what i should be expecting here
