champion select not letting me select, then booting me off and giving me penalty

I was in champ select and it was my turn to pick, but it wouldnt let me click any champions, timer went out and it booted me from queue, took LP from me and told me a abandoned a game when i tried to rejoin queue. how many times do i have to lose LP just due to the game not working right due to server disruption.
