Borderless Settings not saving

I do play my screen with borderless settings on my window settings, but every time I restart the league client and get into a new match it reverts to "windowed" I always have to go on the settings and choose borderless again, this has been happening for the last patches.

I choose to play with borderless rather than fullscreen because, I only have one monitor and everytime I alt+tab when I'm using fullscreen it takes like 10sec to get back into the game, that wasn't happening before but I guess I will have to blame nvidia on that.

Sometime last year, Windows decided to make permission changes to their system (I am a Windows 10 user). It affects not only League of Legends, but many other games as well. There are two things you should do. First, make sure you do not have League of legends installed into /Program Files or /Program Files (x86). Second, Right click the League of Legends folder, go to the properties tab, then uncheck Read Only. By default the game files are set to Read-only so any changes that are written to the game are unsaved. Microsoft sure does love us PC gamers do they not?

Make it borderless from the settings files then make those files 'Read only'.

Thanks, but that's not the most ideal solution, if I want to change another option (for example a simple one like adjust the volume) those will not save it too, since the file is marked as "read only".

They will reset for the next game rather. Also you can adjust those too directly from the file instead (input value from 1 to 100). Alternatively there's this Shift + Enter hotkey (I think?) to toggle through the different window modes without entering in the in-game settings.

I know dude, but again, every time I need/want to change something in the settings I will have to manually edit the file, I play this for fun, and I'm pretty sure that editing files are not part of the league of legends experience, that's why I'm reporting a bug and not looking for a workaround.

Oh and you mean ALT+ENTER that only switch between fullscreen and windowed mode (which works for pretty much every single modern game) not for borderless which is the exact option I want!

When it's that kinda thing when lots of ppl get it specifically after a new patch, sure, it's on Riot even if they got no idea how and why lol xD but your specific case, idk man.
