According to wikipedia spellshield should block it. Note that spellshield did proc since I regained mana, but the knock up still affected me. Since people are starting to play Aatrox again, it's quite annoying to see this happen.

Aatrox's Q has always been buggy, maybe the knock up and damage are applied separately? Hopefully Riot takes a look into it and fixes the interaction (and the rest of Aatrox's Q).

Spell shields are kinda buggy. Abilities like amumu bandage toss won't stun if spellshielded but he does get to jump to your location.
