Client not Launching

When I double click the league of legends desktop shortcut, it launches the icon and I wait and nothing happens. I click on the icon and windows tells me that the program has stopped working and asks if I want to close the program or wait for it. I close it and try launching the client again. The same issue appears. Sometimes if I close the icon in Task Manager, the client opens the next time I try, but it is not guaranteed. I also tried restarting my computer to see if that would solve the issue, but sadly it did not work. I also reinstalled the league client, it worked right after it was installed, but after I played a few games and closed the program and came back to it today, the client has stopped working again.
