Champion Select Bug

So last night when I queued up for ranked (around 3 am PST, so before the servers were moved to Chicago), I got into champion select and someone called top. "Smart007: top" However, on the left side of the screen where you see all of the players on your team before/during/after the pick their champions, there wasn't anybody named Smart007. We found out that the corresponding player was named Thor X Zeus, but for whatever reason, when he typed, it said Smart007. I've never seen nor heard of this glitch so I don't know if it's new or not.
