Miss Fortune Ult not animating

I was just in a game against a Miss Fortune, I believe she was using the Captain fortune skin, if not that it was waterloo. During multiple teamfights in the game she sprayed her ult across our entire team and it didn't animate. The sound went off and the damage hit us, but there was no animation, needless to say it was frustrating and confusing to repeatedly get killed by something you can't see.
