Client Broken (?)

Not sure if anyone is having this issue, but when I press launch on the NA client (I haven't tried the others), my computer begins to run extremely slow as the log in screen, attempts to load up. Once it does, I receive a lost connection to Maelstro error, closing the client and repeating the process. Any tips on how to fix? Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Or is a computer issue, not a client issue?

Notes: This doesn't happen for any other game, and this started happening 10/14/14. Haven't been able to log back in since then.
