Surrender Bugged
The vote was called for before 20 minutes, still passed without unanimous vote.

If it says it needs a unanimous vote, it should not pass on anything except that.

once the game time goes past 20 mins it switches from needing a unanimous vote to only 4 -1 vote regardless when the vote was started.
That shouldn't matter if it specifically states "This is an early surrender and requires a unanimous vote".
It should not need an added line of "If the vote is complete after 20 minutes, it does not need to be unanimous".
AKA bugged. It has become a normal surrender that was called before it can be (which is 20 minutes).
I think it's been changed recently to only require 4 votes. Apparently most failed surrender votes at 15 minutes will result in a successful surrender vote at 20 minutes.
Edit: Found what I was thinking of. I don't think it's been implemented yet, however.
Surrender Rules
Sometime soon (probably starting this week) we'll be testing a change to the early surrender rules that removes the unanimous vote requirement and instead goes with the normal 4 of 5 yes votes. That change will initially be only on the Oceanic server, if it tests well there we'll then roll it out to other regions as well.
We originally went with a unanimous requirement for early surrenders to ensure players weren't having games that looked winnable still surrendered out from under them that early. Looking at early surrender's use however games that fail a surrender 4-1 between 15-20 very often end up with a surrender or defeat around 20 minutes instead. That means the unanimous requirement is mainly just dragging out already lost games.

No, ALL EARLY SURRENDERS require a unanimous vote. An early surrender was called and treated like a normal surrender due to when the vote finished.
Explain to me why this is acceptable.
they've probably updated it so that if the surrender timer goes past 20 minutes, it counts as a 20 minute surrender.
the most annoying thing is when one idiot starts an ff vote at like 19:50 and another idiot wants to waste everyone's time and make us wait until 22:50
And you're saying you and 3 others couldn't wait 10 seconds to make sure that the single vote wouldn't break your surrender call?
10 seconds, which is not going to make or break anyone's schedule, is too long for you to wait?
when i say "one idiot starts an ff vote at 19:50" it implies i'm not the one starting the ff vote and planned on waiting the 10 seconds.
I'll admit to have misread that a bit out of remaining tilt.
