Kalista rend bug

I was playing Kalista in a ranked game and then when i rended something weird happened. After i rended, it went on cooldown even if i killed the unit, then after i auto'd another unit, it rended that spear instantly and reset the cooldown. I think this bug happened when the unit died when I was trying to rend it, or when someone cancels Kalista's Q.
