Ancient Coin > Nomad's Medallion Transformation

As of my last game, I hit the 650 Gold requirement of the Ancient Coin quest which supposedly transforms it outside of combat. I deliberately hanged back for a couple of minutes to make it transform as when I hit 650 Gold we, the ADC and I, were in the middle of a battle with the opposite team. Fast forward a few minutes and I realized that I was not getting the speed boost that Nomad's Medallion gives when I left fountain and had to resort to buying the upgrade myself. This is only after one game that I found it was not transforming so there may be some other reason why it has not transformed but the only restriction listed on the item is being in combat. [sg-janna]
