Skill Level-Up Indicator Stuck

So when you level up a skill you can use your cursor to click the indicator or you can use a hotkey (I think the default is ctrl + q,w,e or r). Anyways, several times I have clicked a skill to level up, realized I was leveling up the wrong skill, and never released my left click. If I was still holding the mouse button down I could use the hotkey to override my mistake. The first time this happened with the new HUD it worked, but my skill level-up indicator was frozen and non-interactive.
