Typing Issue {Client}

When I try to comment to a friend or call my lane in the actual client, not the game, it keeps like blinking and refreshing to where i have to click in the box again and its doing it so much that i can hardly call lane. If anyone knows how to solve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. only started happening after patch 5.11.
