Sivir/Anivia

Sivir Anivia As i was playing Sivir the other day I faced an Anivia support. My thoughts were "haha I can counter you and get sustain." But when I used my e as Sivir and Anivia would go to stun me I would still get hurt and stunned but gain mana back. I would go up to her trying to proc her stun and would get killed in the process even though i used Sivir's e correctly. This only occurred with her stun. Her spike would still get blocked like normal. Please post comments of your opinion.

Anivia's Q has 2 parts to it. The first part is while the projectile is in the air. During this part, any enemy that the projectile touches is damaged and slowed. The second part is the detonation. Anyone hit by the detonation is damaged and stunned, as well as slowed after the stun wears off. And the thing is, it's possible to be hit by both parts of this ability.

My guess as to what happened is that Sivir's spell shield blocked the first part of of Anivia's Q, which allowed you to gain the mana, however a little bit afterwards, the Anivia detonated the Q, dealing damage to you and causing you to be stunned.

I'm not 100% sure that this is wwhat happened with you, but it's the best guess I have.

thats because her Q hits you once while flying and once when it explodes

Anivia's Q(stun) has two parts to it, one where it touches/passes you, and the other when it's "detonated". More than likely you blocked the first part of the spell, but not the second part (which is the stun).

Kunstfehla is right. Anivia's Q has to kinds of hit. The orb that is floating over you is one hit, and the explosion is another hit. So you must've blocked the floating orb part, but didnt block the actual explosion. That is why you still got stunned and damaged
