Unable to connect to game (LeaveBuster as a side effect)

TL;DR included at the bottom.

During patch 4.20 there was a bug that would not allow me to get past champion select. Essentially I would pick my champ, wait for the timer to run out as usual and have the client minimize, and then.....nothing. Now because of this I was given a LeaveBuster warning, which I can understand because as far as the servers know, I may as well have shut down my machine. So to circumvent the issue I decided to not try to play during 4.20, but for a few times to see if the issue still presented itself (twice in ARAM with a friend and once more in a custom game for fear of tripping LeaveBuster again).

When 4.21 dropped I was hoping that the bug would be patched, and as far as I can tell it has been. The problem comes in that about half way through my first 4.21 game I lost connection with the servers and was not able to reconnect. When I logged in today I was notified that I was placed in a lower queue by LeaveBuster, which is annoying but kinda understandable. Since that happened I have yet to try another game (again for fear of more LeaveBuster consequences).

TL;DR as promised I don't know about anyone else but I don't think its right that this system which is suppose to make the game better is essentially preventing me from playing one of my favorite games because I'm afraid of suffering increased consequences for things that I cannot control.

Side note: I'm sure that I am not the only one to have this issue and/or to post about it, but as I see it the more people who report it, the more likely it will receive attention.
