Updating to new client bug: Entry Point Not Found

I had previously upgraded to the new client with no issue, just clicked the button and it updated, but I had to uninstall league and reinstall league after that due to another bug. Now whenever I try to update the client it comes up with this message:

"The procedure entry point ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-[1-1-0.dll"

The only way I've been able to play league again is to uninstall and reinstall after this message appears, repairing has done nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bump. having this issue also. just reinstalled and same result.

All i had to do was delete the "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" file in the root directory for LoL and it fixed it.

I had this issue too. All that you need to do is to find this file (.dll) and right click on it to open properties, then you need to choose Previous Versions and select Restore... button. I think this should help you to resolve this problem in simple way without unninstalling LOL. PEACE!
