[GAMEPLAY] Leblanc's Clone Hits, no assist granted

Whilst playing an aram in 6.20 patch I encountered the following paradox:

While I was backing away from a fight, I sent the clone to AA a dying opponent which I guarantee that it did (2 times tbh). The real Leblanc never hit that target, but the clone definately did.However no assist was granted after the opponent died.

Unfortunatelly I didn't have my recording software on to capture the moment.

Has anyone else noticed this? I searched some stuff but did not find something relevant.
