Stuck at "Match Accepted"

I just had a game where the queue popped, I accepted, it made the accept noise but the timer never went away. Instead, the background stayed black, with the "Accept" prompt stuck in the middle of the screen.

I was visibly connected to chat in the background of the accept screen, and I could hear people banning champions: still only seeing the "Accept" screen.

It came my turn to pick a champion, but I couldn't pick anything because my screen was still at the "Accept" screen.

Got a 5 minute suspension for leaving a match.

Game is literally unplayable. Fix your trash UI. Thanks!

I'm also experiencing this issue. Seems to happen about every 10 games, but randomly and inconsistently. It's sad to see that this is an issue that was adressed almost a year ago, yet it has not yet been solved. The worst part is that we get punished by a penalty wrongly, as it is clearly the client that is bugged.

9 months later problem still persists. And by the way the reddit post that is linked in here is from TWO FUCKING YEARS AGO. Wow Riot, glad you've invested so much time and man hours into an auto chess ripoff, a mobile game, and fucking card game and completely ignored an obvious and game breaking issue like this. I say game breaking because it counts as a dodge and is endlessly frustrating. Fix your launcher, it's 2019 ffs.

Just got this bug again (it recurs often I'm just annoyed by it right now).

Riot seriously how are you this bad at UI? This is a critical bug that should be easy to solve, if you press the Accept button, the "Accept" prompt needs to go away. Add a loop to check if its done, this isn't rocket surgery.

This is what OP is talking about. Just happened to me as well; was not doing anything particularly different before the bug happened--just queueing up as normal.

Still experiencing this exact same issue, I see this thread dating back to 10 months ago, I don't know what Riot is doing in their free time to not be able to fix such a small client bug, 10 years of league of legends and still has a crappy client, awesome.

Haven't been able to play in 2 days due to this issue. I'm sure it's in part due to their servers being overloaded with the new season... but seriously, the client? The game itself is the one full of high(er) graphics and constant user-input... how is the client the one that riot can't get preforming half-decent? Especially seeing that it's an issue that they've been aware of for years, this does not look good on their developer report card. I can't give them a grade of above a C- until they improve their client performance. I mean, it doesn't matter how amazing or addictive your game is if we can't even play it.

I'll also note: The game itself has never lagged on me in the least, but their client on the other hand has always been laggy. However, this is the first time ever that it won't even bring me into champ-select.

Same here. Lost a match, queued another then the accept screen got stuck. Really appreaciate the 28 lp loss

I lost promos due to this glitch then to top it off riot gives 5min dodge timer. Really fixing the problem aren't they?

This has happened to me twice in the last 3 matches. both giving me dodge penatlies. are you kidding me. If you can't make a client that works let me rejoin the god damn lobby when your client fucks up. I took a long break from this game and this is what i return to?????? Next step uninstall again i mean common how can i play your game and it be worse then before... cant' even make it into a game at this rate.

December 2019 prseason, this started happening to me too, twice now in preseason. The most annoying thing is the queue penalty for their software bug.

3 days until season 10, have had this bug happen to me about 3 times today. The queues after you end task and wait out the dodge penalty seem to be fine, but any queue after this initial game seem to have this bug. Have lost -9LP as a result of this.

The same thing happened to me. I have the 5+ minute wait as a result of the client getting stuck.

Same thing happened to me twice since Friday. Only way to get rid of it is to exit the client, which can only be done by doing it through the task manager since I'm unable to exit it with the match accepted thing in the way. Happened once in AURF, and once just now in Flex.

I hope this is fixed soon, since if this happens in a ranked queue/multiple times a day, the penalties could be pretty disastrous.

Im having the same issues!

This is a major problem which should be prioritzed. The 5 minutes are irrelevant! But your MR will be affected also if you are in so unlucky to be in a promo, it will count as a loss!

Riot please look into this already!

Just happened to me, I had apparently joined the ranked lobby according to others, but mine was stuck. Its fine though, lets pump out entire skin lines every couple of weeks and make some more games. People are paying so why fix your client, you only have stupid amounts of money

Hello right now i just got that bug again but mine is kinda different (or i managed to overcome it kinda) when i accepted match, ofc i got infinite loading sound (match started ofc) i reset client and i throws me back to pick/ban. But... i can't change my spec and my summoners spells, so still no point playing, had to evade on ranked.
