Dying under Smite(Skirmish) breaks Guardian Angel?

Riot please fix, last game 2 GAs were broken without reviving from both sides. A possible bug comes from smiting a person with Skirmisher Sabre.

My last game Yi was able to kill me, GA starts its cooldown, death timer starts and my champion stays still. (And apparently I got DC'd for trying to screenshot it) Same game our Lee Sin smites enemy Aatrox and kills him while under GA(Also had Skirmisher Blade)

Smiting has never been so OP than this.
