My League cannot handle Mystery Gifting

Whenever I try to log onto league, the screen fades dark, but when a message is supposed to appear, it doesn't. I can safely assume that the message that is supposed to appear is a mystery gift because when I was mystery gifted on my birthday, December 20, the exact same thing happened, and was only able to get the gift after going on my brother's laptop. Likewise, Riot is also giving everybody mystery gifts for good behavior this week, but my brother and his laptop are away atm.

Since the screen fades dark, I am unable to click anything. This means the play button, the shop button, the X button to close league, everything. Since this is happening, I cannot play league.

This is also happening to my alternate account which is also getting the event mystery gift.
