In Game Resolution Scaling
Hey!
Recently Ive been playing around with a lot of INI files that have to do with scaling.
For those that don't know, each time you change your resolution in-game there is a .ini file created in your game folder. This file basically tells the game how to scale various elements with the addition of pixels at higher resolutions. It also records your HUD scaling settings at that specific resolution. Cool right!?
Well there is one major issue. The most important items to scale at higher resolutions are HARD CODED into the game--it is impossible to scale them. Essentially this means that at any resolutions even close to 4k, whether achieved through down sampling or not, things such as minion health bars, minimap icons, champion health bars and the like are WAYYYY too small to play with!
I'd love to see this issue fixed, as honestly it really just shows the age of the base coding League was built on. How hard-coded are these aspects of the game scaling? What are your guys thoughts? I can upload some pictures later on if anyone is interested!
