[GamePlay] Accidental Item buy results in disappearance of item and gold

I was playing a normal game where i was support Ezreal and my score was 1/5 I had to KS 3 kills to get myself back in the game which gave me a good 1.8k gold.

        [bug] 
               1. I opened the shop and bought a sheen then i went to buy the full item Lichbane 
               2. accidentally clicked on the jungle item runeglaive and _I do not have smite _
               3. My sheen and the 1k gold i spent on it disappeared/vanished and i was _unable to re-buy a sheen for the remainder of the game until i restarted._ 
               Resulted in a lost item and gold

Aren't jungle items suppose to be grey'ed out unless you have smite?
