Just played a game of Rek'Sai in the jungle and started hunters talisman and Q at raptors to not need a leash. Little did I know, Hunter's Talisman apparently doesn't proc off of Rek'Sai Q which lead to me being executed at level 1. Is there an explanation for this or is this just a bug?
Probably because her Q is technically an AoE AA modifier and not an ability. The AoE doesn't apply spell effects, which would not apply Talisman.
Empowered auto attacks are really weird, in that they arent spells despite being casted like one, and since the AoE on queen's wrath is a product of your attack, it is not a direct attack either. Similar technical reason why Mace of Spades and Queen's Wrath triggered, but did not consume, Hail of Blades stacks enabling 6 autos with massive attack speed.
