Choppy Sound in Team Fights?

Okay so I had this problem when Aurelion Sol came out and I guess I still have it. At first, I thought it happened when I was playing as Leona (I usually main her) against AS for "lore reasons" since my friend who sub-mains Diana got a similar outcome when playing against an enemy AS.

But when I was playing as Karma or Caitlyn in my 2/3 games played last night, the sound got super choppy and disorienting when teamfights happened. There was no AS, Leo, or Diana in this fight. What gives? My framerate never drops nor do I lag, it's just the sound gets loud and choppy.

Does this happen to anyone else?
