Wrong end of season Border

I finished the season as Platinum 3, but now my border has changed from platinum to Gold?

they are using PLACEHOLDER borders. they are X tier 3. X being what you were last season (Silver/gold/plat/diamond/ETC.

They are rolling out the rewards in waves. All should be out by the 17th or th 18 (I have heard both dates). Nothing to see here.
