I placed this ward in the bush last night and this is what I see (attached photo).
I have all of my item slots on quick cast, so I don't see the green/red cursor when placing wards. I just put my cursor inside the bush and press the button.
That sure looks like it is inside the bush to me, but it is providing no vision inside the bush at all.
If you go to settings and turn on "show range indicators" or whatever it's called, you can hold down the number key to see the cursor then release to place the ward
If you just hold your button down it will show the indicator, and cast when you release, but you need "Show range indicators" enabled...do that if you're trying to get precise ward placement.
Edit: There is literally no benefit of not having the range indicator enabled for quick-cast.
His bug is not that he cannot see the cursor, his bug is that the ward is clearly in the bush but not providing vision in the bush.
