Logitech G502 mouse - Cannot bind to G6 g-key to abilities/slots

I'm unable to bind the G6 g-key (from my Logitech G502 "Prometheus core" mouse) highlighted in the screenshot to any ability/slot in LoL. G-keys 7 and 8 however work just find so I'm not sure why G6 is omitted.

When I try to assign the bind, it doesn't register me pressing the highlighted key.

According to this blog post, Riot has worked with Logitech to have this functionality: link

I guess it just doesn't work like other G6s... I will leave now

I am having this problem with my Logitech G502 mouse. the G6 button does not do anything but change the led display, i have tried many game, can not get it to bind, my computer will not recognize that i am doing anything when i try. all other buttons work fine can be rebound as i desire. i can not say i have any true understanding of dpi or how it applies to me, i just want to be able to bind and unbind this button like every other button on the mouse.... i would appreciate any help or knowledge anyone has.
