I dodged an aram but it didnt dodge apprently

I went into an aram yesterday and found my reroll wasnt working, then my summoners wouldn't change so rather than get into a game and dc because it internet is being shit and/or lag the whole game I thought i'd just dodge so my team wouldnt be hindered by me so i quit league while in champ select to dodge but i was checking my match history now and apparently the game went on despite me leaving during champ select and I got leaver??? Why didn't it dodge by leaving the game in champ select??
