This glitch has persisted for a while now.
Everyone's profile background shows as the splash I personally selected for my own. This goes for hovering over friends in list, or when I look at someone's profile. The one exception is when I hover over friends in game, then it shows the champ/skin they are using in that game.

Exact thing is happening to me. It’s been three weeks like this. It’s not much of an issue but it’s annoying.
