Here to complain about incompatibility with AMD FX processors for League

I've played this game for over 6 years and not once has my computers processor ever been a problem in hosting or playing the game. I find it hard to believe that half of your games community is unable to play the game because of our processors being incompatible with league. I've spent hundreds of dollars on this game and am starting to consider getting refunds because now from the latest patch i can not play one of my most favorite games because of this new "Security". I want my $$$$ back from this game because now i can no longer play it and just 3 days ago it worked completely fine. Sorry to say Riot that your latest patch is causing a good percentage of your income and gaming community to quit that game and i find it unfair to those who have spent thousands of dollars on your game to make it better for others gameplay. You may want to go back to a later patch until you can make your game compatible with all processors. Thank you. I love this game, seems its going down a long hard road.

Some players are reporting that their issues are resolved with a BIOS/firmware update: https://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Can you try that and let us know if everything's working after the update?

Just confirming that a BIOS update worked for me. I have a pretty old AMD FX 6100 processor with a BIOS dated from 2011, and today the game was taking ages to load and when it finally loaded I had 1 ~ 2 fps. After updating my motherboard BIOS to the latest version (which is still pretty old, from 2013) the game is back to normal.

Just for reference, I have an Asus m5a78l-m lx motherboard.

I have the same issue as the above person. I play overwatch, i play battlefront 2, i play PUBG, diablo 3. This is the only game that i have any issues with and it is all because of their latest update isn't compatible with one of the two primary performance desktop processors out there. I'll try to be a little more helpful than the OP just flaming and complaining. If you check the log files it shows my game is crashing after it loads my blocked player list without actualy initializing the game and with no errors in the log (there is a message about missing a r3d file, but there is also a note saying the error is expected and checking a working log file it has the same error. Is there any chance i could work directly with a member of support either through remote connection to have a look or through email/message correspondence. I would like to see this issue resolved rather than harass or flame anyone about it.

Did we every figure out the fix to this? or where exactly i can go to get the BIOS update. I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Been playing for 6 years and now all of a sudden it just doesn't work. Every other game still works just fine, its just league that does not.
