Launcher won't open. Mac. Please help

Hi guys.

Im having a problem with a second of my macs. Want to play with a friend who just downloaded LoL but then there was some issues.

The launcher appears and she hits play but then the launcher just disappears and nothing happens.

I have looked everywhere for a solution. Some one mentioned deleting the lock file but that did not help.

Anyone have a solution?
