[CLIENT] Unexpected error with the login session. Please try again.

The game disconnected so I tried restarting and I can't log back in. Every time I try to log in it shows this error: 'There was an unexpected error with the login session. Please try again later.' I click exit and the client closes. I tried terminating every riot process in task manager to start anew. I tried logging out of my account to try to log back in but I still get the same error as soon as the game logs me in. It goes through the login screen into the actual client but it has no buttons images or anything on it it's just a blank black client the only thing that it shows is the tracker exclamation mark. ( see the screenshot ) What I did:

  1. I was in a tft ranked game you can check my history for the one I had yorick lvl 2 with 7 lights (ah so close to the 9 lights synergy).
  2. Game disconnected so I tried restarting but now I can't log back in. Internet is A-okay everything's working. This error has been happening for the past 30 minutes and I still cannot log in to the game I get the same error. I'll try again in the morning but at this point I've already lost my ranked tft game so it doesn't matter.

EDIT: Alright so it's been a while and I still can't log in but the error is different. Now instead of the old one it shows: 'The login queue is experiencing heavy traffic. Try again later or check the server status here. Nothing shown on the server status page for login problems so I'm confused as to whether I'm doing something wrong. The ranked queues for patch 10.2 are supposed to be disabled in 7 hours from now. What's the problem?

EDIT 2: Alright now I'm getting the same error I was getting in the begging. 'There was an unexpected error with the login session. Please try again later.' It seems that I just randomly get one or the other so I'm even more confused now LOL

EDIT 3: The hunt for errors continues. 3rd edit for a 3rd error. Now I'm getting 'An unexpected error occurred while logging in. Please try again. If this issue persists contact support at support.riotgames.com' I don't know who's in charge of thinking up all these error messages but he's doing some work here.

Everybody, you just have to right click on taskbar clock, next go to adjust date/time, then toggle to sync your clock to real time, it worked for me!!

Same thing happened to me. In my promos for Plat 3, start lagging weirdly but my ping still shows it is normal. Lagging very bad like inputs happen 7 seconds after i press them. I restart client and computer to fix it, try to log back in and I get the same message every time I try to log in. Rip my promos

same thing just happened. Dced in the middle of my promotion game. what a joke. then unable to go back in. Now I exit the client, cant even go back in again. "unknown error" had occur. Be noted, I am also having the friend bar problem z.

The exact thing happened to me. FPS and ping were normal, but I was having weird lag spikes.

Restarted and now I can't log in. The client runs, but goes black and then I get an error message.

A lot of bugs happening with the new client recently :/

I was getting this every soo often the last 2 days, now tonight I cannot login at all. Any response from Riot? :(

In the middle of champion selection, I got that message, saying session expired and that I must log out. When I click the ok button the game closed. When I log back it, I get punished for leaving champion selection?

Hey there I had this same problem, look at your router firewall. As the security maybe stopping you from connecting to league. What happened to me.

I was not in a game, just trying to login to do my last ranked game for the mecha event mission, but keep getting this error at login for past 30 min. I'm also going to do something else and hopefully it will be fixed in the morning tomorrow I guess.

Hopefully, this gets fixed soon. I was looking to grind out some games tonight for my battle pass. :(
