Client Champion Select Random Freezes Prevent Selection

So I have encountered an annoying issue with the champion select client, I would not label it as trivial. In fact, it does some damage to my account. During the champion select screen, almost every game I get into, there would be a randomly time freeze. The timer is 0 but nothing progresses. Interestingly enough, I can still see my teammates chatting as if the selection continues. So far, I have found no way to fix it and I either have to close out manually and relog as the game starts or just give up hope on the game because I haven't even finished banning or selecting my champion. Then after everyone leaves, I also have to restart the client if I want to even go back to the home page (of course I can't play because of a penalty). This recently began to act up when the recent Squad Event was initiated. So far I have received leave penalty for just one ranked game as well as a LP lost, while for the others I was lucky enough to select a champion before it splat. Well it's enough to say that I don't want this kind of annoying ordeal in the future, so please just fix it fast and we can forget what happened.
