Why the hell does super minions buff aura work on themselves

I was in game and i noticed that lone superminion had obscene damage (450 ad at 30 minutes) and buffed up resists. In the past, their aura did not apply to themselves, and there had to be 2 superminions together for them to benefit from this powerful aura. Yet it is not documented in the patch note. Intended? Or bug?
