[Client] Needing to log on twice before I actually get in

This has been a recurring annoyance for the past few weeks for me. Essentially, whenever I try to log into client (hit 'launch', type in user name/pw and try to log in), the client says I'm logging in fine, then an error message pops up that says I've been disconnected, and the launcher just force closes (no bug splat message pops up). When I relaunch the game, everything works fine, but it's just that first time I try to log on everyday that this happens. I'm on a Mac OSX 10.9.5, if that's any help.

EDIT: Seems to have worked first try today; something was patched so that might have fixed it, I'll keep an eye on it to see if it remains a problem. Thanks!

EDIT3: (6/1/15) Since both the bug and this thread seems to have resurfaced (on the "recent replies" filter, or just through people searching for a similar issue), I'll just state that, yes, it does happen to me again (mac osx), and that yes, Riot has stated this is a known issue and they are working on a fix. Thanks!

Windows user, does the same for me about 70% of the time.

Possibly from flooded servers not responding in time, so it decides that it can't connect and exits when it probably just needs to be set to wait longer.

Same here, been happening to me for weeks, if not months. First login of the day almost always fails and then pointlessly wastes my time by closing the client instead of just letting me try again. Funny thing is this almost never happens on PBE, seems like a server issue.

This has been happening to me after the update. It is also taking a really long time and it is stuck on "Logging in."

+1, although I can make it into the client before it disconnects. Really annoying, I have to force close it at that point since it waits for communication from the server before exiting. On OSX Yosemite.
