[Client] Client and game cause other apps to bug out while running

Ever since the last patch anytime I have this game open and "focused" other software is crashing and not working properly.

For example: iTunes no longer lets me change songs or pause/resume using my multimedia keyboard, unless I first minimize League. VLC video turns to a black screen and my whole computer crashes if I open League while a movie is playing. And, The flash plugin crashes if I try to watch a twitch stream on my second monitor while League is running.

I have never had any of these problems before this patch. And honestly I don't know what could have been done to cause it. Is this a known issue? Is there any way to fix it on my end? I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling everything that's affected, no change. And no other software I have tried causes these problems, it's just League, so I'm pretty sure it is being caused by something that was changed in the last update.

It's like League is suddenly being given priority over all other applications that are running, or is causing some kind of conflict with hardware acceleration and inputs.
