[Game] Unnaturally High Amounts of Lag

Not sure if this gets to go in this category or Help & Support, but whatever.

I played my first game after the patch and queue fixing, and in the game I had extremely large amounts of lag at random times, enough that my screen and my champ was teleporting around. The game froze (I should also mention that my friend's game froze in loading screen and had to restart their computer) and I had to close it and leave it. My ping averages and was around 72 the entire game, yet I still got tons of lag (note: my fps didn't show any changes at all). I don't know why this is a thing, but it is.

EDIT: I also cannot open the client. Whenever I click it to open it says "Another instance of the client is running. Do you wish to terminate it?" to open a new instance, but yes and no don't work, so the client itself just isn't opening.

This would be something for Help & Support since it's a technical issue.

This sounds like packet loss, so first I'd suggest hard resetting your modem and router by unplugging them for 5 minutes. If it's packet loss you're getting and it doesn't go away, you may need to contact your ISP for help.

Please follow the steps (if there are any you haven't completed) on the Connection Troubleshooting Guide to make sure your connection is set up properly.

If those steps don't help, you can view your connection by running a traceroute, and sharing the results might show us where it's going wrong. I suggest downloading the WinMTR Network Diagnostic Tool, then use that to run a traceroute to the following IP's (allow this to run for 5-15 minutes);

104.160.131.1

Export the results to a text file and paste them here.
