Surrender Votes

So i just carried my team to victory on red side. The blue side team surrendered to my mighty Kayle pwnage 5 votes for, 0 against. As a troll my team also started a surrender vote, after the game already showed they had successfully surrendered. We voted 4 for, 1 against just before the screen started moving to blue side nexus which blew up in all its glory. The game then said VICTORY so i clicked continue only to be told that in the post-game stats lobby that the game was actually a defeat for us. I know last season I made surrender votes like this and they went through after the other team had already surrendered yet this did nothing to change the outcome of the game. Is it a bug this season or what just happened? I lost my win streak and LP
