[CLIENT] Lost my promos because of a bug.

so i had just gotten into my promos for silver 2, second match, and i get into champion select. when it finally gets to be my turn to select a champion the lobby immediately closes out and gives me the error "you have failed to select a champion". this happens IMMEDIATELY after it was my turn to select a champion. so there i go, i lost my series because of a bug. and im hesitating to play more ranked until i know if this will happen every time or not. if anyone can give me some feedback on this , it would be greatly appreciated.
