Going offline while nexus is being destroyed = stuck
ARAM. We lost the game and while the destroy nexus animation was playing, I lost my internet connection. The Defeat dialog never appeared. I was stuck looking at the destroyed nexus.

They are aware of this and it's really something they don't have much control over. For now their usual response is to tell you to wait until the server updates your computer on the status of the game.
