Client Freeze in Champion Select

After accepting a ranked 5v5 match on Summoners Rift, I enter champion select, then, after a random amount of time, the client freezes and someone's pick counter counts down to 0. After that the client never shows that it has moved on to someone else's pick. During this freeze i can still chat to other players, in and out of the lobby. I never get notified that it is my pick, and then i am kicked for dodging. In order to assure that it was not a one time bug i queued again, and the same bug occurred. I have now been given a 30 minute low priority queue and lost 15 LP for something that is not my fault. How can i fix this? Update: just got into a game without client freeze. I have no idea what causes the freeze or why it only happens sometimes.
