Player Leaving in Champion Select but game still starts

I just was forced into playing a game 3v5 because one of the players said he didn't want to play with shaco jungle. In champion select he said Peace guys and right as the game timer ran out the chat log said "(player name) leaves room" as in he dodge, but the game still loaded. So we loaded into a 4v5 and draven went afk as well so I had to sit through a 3v5 cause a game that never should of even started somehow still got played.
